I like to think that I'm essentially optimistic, thoughtful and young at heart.
Increasingly, I find pleasure in simple things. I value the peace and contentment of living and walking in the countryside but I'm often in London enjoying the theatre, music and art it offers.
I'm a French and Italian speaker and love travelling in Europe to eat, drink and soak up the atmosphere.
I'm happy in my own company, but sociable and like to feel connected. I value my friends highly and work with young people, who keep me on my toes. Radio Four is my daily companion and music is important to me. I'm a keen singer with wide-ranging tastes and I also love the joyful absurdity of playing the ukulele - I think shared laughter is essential for a happy life.
